At Seating Shuffle (by Olindie LLC), we believe in making teachers’ lives easier with tools that can be directly implemented in the classroom. One of those tools is the seating chart. Why We Built Seating Shuffle

That’s why we built Seating Shuffle — a smarter, faster, and actually useful way to create seating charts. We are a small team of two: one teacher-turned-techie and one techie-turned-teacher. Between us, we’ve logged plenty of hours wrangling students, testing tools, and wondering why existing software makes simple tasks feel so complicated. We knew there had to be a better way, so we made it.

What Makes Seating Shuffle Different from Other Seating Chart Apps?

• One setup, infinite charts: You enter in your student data once, and then you are good to go. You can create new charts and layouts daily, weekly, or monthly without having to start over.
• Fully custom layouts: Many current tools limit your ability to truly build your chart to look like your classroom. Here, you can resize, rotate, and move several different table shapes, label anything you’d like, and match your screen to your real-life classroom.
• Smart placement rules: We all have those two students who really shouldn’t sit together. We’ve also all had a student on an IEP with preferential seating, a student who just works better sitting next to that other kid, or even a student who doesn’t have glasses and needs to sit near the board. You can set these preferences and restrictions for as many students as you’d like, and your chart will remember them as it creates different seating combos.

We’ve both stood in front of the whiteboard and know the endless juggling act teachers do. Even the smallest tools can make a big impact when they actually work and are built to work in the actual classroom. Our goal is to give teachers more time to focus on what matters, and fewer things to stress about.
